Kisame’s dinner that night consisted of dried seaweed strips wrapped around some block of nutritious goop that was otherwise known as ration bars. They might have been healthy and energy-giving, but they tasted disgusting. And Kisame would be having them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, because Itachi-human was most likely all for starving the alien to death. To tell the truth, Kisame might rather starve than eat his planet’s mission food, because not even the dogfish would eat them, and they ate anything.

Kisame had lots to do, the way he saw it. He couldn’t believe though, that his first time away from his planet in this spacecraft, he’d crashed it. It made him feel like such a novice. From the looks of things, he had crashed hard enough to kill the entire engine, his wind shield was broken out (but that was his fault), the vocal command system was shot – he was as good as landed…that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to at least try to fix it. “S.E.N.A. How much longer ‘till we reach Targon?” Kisame asked, bored out of his mind. He had been traveling for three days and nights already, and though he knew it was a full week’s trip from his home planet to Targon, he felt the need to ask anyway, just for something to do.
“Four more days, Mr. Hoshigaki,” the ship’s computer voice replied. “Stop whining so much – you’re starting to give me a headache.”
